Showcase Registration: Thursday 25 October 2018 (9:00am - 5pm)

Award finalists will present on the initiatives for which they have been nominated. Come along, learn more about the innovations in the application of psychology at work, and be inspired! The showcase will include interactive sessions showcasing work in the categories to be awarded in 2018. Further information about the Showcase Event will be available soon as finalists are confirmed for the program.


Registration includes arrival tea and coffee, morning and afternoon tea, and a seated buffet lunch.

Workplace Excellence Awards Gala Dinner: Thursday 25 October 2018 (7pm - 11pm)

On the evening of the showcase, the APS College of Organisational Psychologists will host a gala dinner awards ceremony, announcing the WEA winners and celebrating the achievements of all finalists. Attendees will be able to enjoy their celebrations and lively conversations over a three course meal, with entertainment to follow.

Dress code: Business attire or cocktail.

Simon Brown-Greaves, CEO @ FBG Group
Simon is a senior executive manager and Organisational Psychologist with extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering human capital projects and services in the Australian market. He is a specialist in the areas of senior leadership development, organisational strategic planning, merger/acquisition strategy and strategic approaches to organisational mental health and wellbeing. Simon is also an experienced speaker and MC.

Most importantly, Simon held management roles in organisations and has been responsible for significant profit centres, giving him an understanding of the real challenges for business managers and leaders.

Simon has experience with clients in both the private and public sectors, including law enforcement, regulatory bodies; superannuation, banking and manufacturing and has worked with a broad range of Government bodies. Prior to establishing the National Leadership Institute (now known as the FBG Group) in July 2008 Simon was a Group Regional Manager at Chandler Macleod. Earlier positions included Chief Executive Officer for the OSA Group for seven years (subsequently known as PPC Worldwide then Optum), as well as senior psychology roles in the Victorian Office of Corrections, the Victoria Police Psychology Unit, and at Davidson Trahaire.

Simon has held Fellowship of the University of Melbourne where he taught professional practice, ethics and giving evidence in Court to postgraduate students.

Cancellations and refund policy

All cancellations must be provided in writing via email to the APS Events Team:  

Cancellations by Event Registrants: Up to 28 days prior to the event you are registered to attend will receive a full refund. Cancellations 27-15 days prior will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received 14 days or less prior to the event will not be refunded, other than for 'exceptional, unforeseeable circumstances', however, you may nominate someone to attend in your place. Registrations are not transferable between events.

Regrettably, Gala Award function tickets and additional tickets cannot be refunded if participants cancel, however you may nominate an alternative attendee.

The Event Organisers reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any and all arrangements contained in the event program if minimum numbers are not reached.
